A New Industrial Policy for the European Union
Seminar
A New Industrial Policy for the European Union
Torino, 8 maggio 2015
One of the consequences of the deep European economic crisis has been the revival of the discussion around industrial policy, its aims, tools and potential benefits for all the economies whose industrial and capital structure has been severely hit by de-investments, failures and negative expectations. While the idea of a fully-fledged supranational industrial policy is starting to gain momentum in the EU discussion, a systematic and forward looking approach to the topic is still lacking. The aim of the Conference will be to gather representatives from academia, institutions and stakeholders, providing an opportunity to discuss and develop a coherent framework for a European Industrial Policy, dealing also with the related economic and institutional issues.
